Mitchell Telecom is seeking a part-time accountant who is detail-oriented and looking for a flexible position with an employee, customer, and community minded company.  You will be an integral part of the accounting team and receive a competitive wage and benefits.

Essential Job Functions:

•  Responsible for entering, coding and reconciling payables. Includes check and ACH processing. Maintain relationships with vendors. 
• Process payroll including verification of accuracy, enter liabilities for payment and complete payroll account reconciliations. Coordinate benefits with vendors.
•  Maintain inventory and internal controls. Responsible for checking inventory in, distribution and reconciliation at month end. 
• Post daily cash and collection deposits provided by the billing department. Responsible for reconciling accounts receivable subsidiary at month end.
•  Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers by entering various transaction information regarding transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and allocating revenues and expenses among accounts and budgets. 
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by Controller. *

• Knowledge of state and federal financial reporting laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting practices.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures will be taught.

• Skill in operating various office equipment.
• Skill in reading and interpreting statistical and financial data.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

• Bachelor' s degree in accounting or related field a plus but not required if accounting experience.
