Psychological first aid and the role of psychological resilience in promoting growth and healthy coping represent a relatively new and evolving field of study and practice. The Red Cross has a long history of providing support to others in times of crisis. This new course is designed to help family members, friends, and neighbors provide better emotional support to one another in times of common stress and strain, and even during times of crisis and disaster.
