Mitchell Named South Dakota's Community of the Year at Governor’s Economic Development Conference

Mitchell, S.D., February 27, 2025 – The Mitchell Area Chamber and Development is proud to announce that Mitchell has been named Community of the Year at the South Dakota Governor’s Conference on Economic Development. The Relocation Program has attracted new talent with financial incentives, while the Community Concierge Program helps newcomers acclimate by connecting them with resources and networking opportunities. Additionally, the Daycare Grant Program has supported childcare workers and expanded daycare facilities, ensuring working families have reliable options.
