Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing an attractive, clean, safe, and well-maintained property, using the systematic approach that maximizes guest satisfaction and remains within the established budgetary guidelines. 

Essential Functions:
1    Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction. 
2.    Inspects all operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operating properly, efficiently and safely. 
3.    Promptly responds to front desk reports of guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete so the front desk can perform "Call Back" phone calls. 
4.    Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendation for repairs, of all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Advise if an outside contractor is needed. 
5.    Maintains the grounds, landscaping, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner. 
6.    Performs the "RPM" schedule on a timely basis, ensuring that all elements of the guest room meet the standards of the property.

Qualification Standards;
1.    Ability to accept directions and priorities form the GM and reliably follow through on tasks. 
2.     Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the guest. 
3.     Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers. 
4.    Ability to cooperate and support others
5.    Ability to work indipendently with little supervision. 
6.    Ability to work with both indoors and outdoors equipment.
7.    Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, be in good physical condition, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 100lb or more may be required.
