Bakery Manager

The Bakery Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and has overall responsibility for the Bakery Department operations.  This includes, but is not limited to, department performance, profitability, customer service, management of staff and baking.
 

Key Accountabilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of from scratch baked goods

Set and adhere to department standards for customer service, employee relationships, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety

Set and strive to meet department goals

Assist with hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, and carrying out disciplinary procedures

Make decisions to resolve all customer and associate complaints

Responsible for ensuring the departments is properly staffed to meet labor goals, sales goals, and customer needs.  Write a weekly associate schedule

Conduct inventory of the department

Assist with writing the weekly ad

Perform department bookkeeping procedures, pricing, and ordering

Understand the performance of all equipment and ensure maintenance is performed

Understand and comply with all company, state, and federal regulations governing health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Perform other job related duties and special projects as required
