Meat Cutter Job Description - Part Time
A Meat Cutter is responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products for retail or wholesale distribution while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Cutting & Trimming:
Break down primal cuts into retail portions, trim excess fat, and ensure attractive presentation.
Weighing & Portioning:
Accurately weigh, label, and portion products while minimizing waste.

Safety & Sanitation:
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines to maintain a clean environment.

Customer Service:
Assist customers with product selection and provide basic cooking and preparation guidance.

Equipment Operation:
Safely operate knives, saws, grinders, and other processing equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; food handling certification is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
Knowledge of meat cuts and proper handling techniques
Good communication and customer service skills
