Archaeology Days Where: Prehistoric Indian Village When: Saturday, July 9, 2011 The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village and the archaeologists from Augustana College, Sioux Falls and the University of Exeter, Great Britain will host the annual Archaeology Days at the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village. Primitive technologists Rick Hamilton and Jack Webster, of Nebraska, will demonstrate early Plains Indian technology, such as flint knapping, leather tanning, and the making of bows and arrows. Dr. Alan Stanfill, Sioux Falls, will demonstrate stone tools. Caroline Jeffra, Morgan Tucker and Amy Godsell will demonstrate early pottery techniques.
