Housing Case Manager
Hours: Full-Time 40 hours (occasional weekend/evening events)
Reports to: Shelter Supervisor
Start Date: Immediately
Salary/Hourly Rate: $17.50/hour
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and/or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge, understanding and experience working with victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault is preferred.
- Good listener, self-motivated, team player
- Ability to respond effectively to crisis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:
- Assess (ESG) Emergency Solutions Grant and (SDAP) Security Deposit Assistance Program client eligibility.
- Assist clients with housing applications.
- Work with clients to develop individualized housing plans, complete paperwork.
- Continually monitor and evaluate each client’s progression through their housing case management plan and develop corrective action provisions as needed.
- Prepare case management related reports.
- Maintain contact with property managers and other agencies, as needed.
- Write vouchers and send checks to property managers.
- Housing inspections.
- Maintain client related data systems, including case notes and complete HMIS entries.
- Assist Executive Director and Business Manager with monthly ESG grant request or reports as needed.
- Provide referrals and information about other programs to victims.
- Provide on-call crisis advocacy alternating nights, weekends, and holidays with other on-call crisis advocates.
Hours of work:
- Monday through Friday; occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to adjust hours as needed to cover events and needs of the position
