Kitchen Assistant (Part-Time) – Various Shifts including 11 a.m.-7 p.m. & 4-7 p.m.
Position: Kitchen Assistant/Part-Time (2 positions available)
Location: Countryside Living | Independent & Assisted Living Community
Wages: Starting at $14.50 per hour
Job Summary:
Countryside Living is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Kitchen Assistant to support meal service for our residents. This position is responsible for setting up dining areas, assisting with meal service, maintaining cleanliness, and following all food safety protocols. While much of the work is done independently, you will be part of a team that values respect, efficiency, and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the cook in preparing food for 80+ residents under the supervision of the dietary manager or cook
- Set up dining rooms and tables to ensure a clean and orderly dining environment
- Deliver meals and trays to residents and assist with serving as needed
- Clear tables, remove used plates and utensils, and maintain dining room cleanliness
- Wash dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils, and clean kitchen stations
- Dispose of trash and food waste according to facility protocols
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy kitchen environment
- Maintain and clean kitchen equipment as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Friendly and team-oriented with good communication skills
- Ability to work independently while following kitchen procedures
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends and holidays
- No experience necessary—training provided!
